981 Cayman owners manual - digital copy?

The only 981 Owner's Manual in PDF format I have is for the GT4. If that's of any interest, drop me a PM with your email address.

Is there a digital copy of the 981 Owners manual that can be accessed anywhere? For the GTS if that's different to the normal Cayman manual

My searches thus far have proved fruitless, although I was able to locate one in Chinese. It seems all the ones from the Porsche site have disappeared, replaced with YouTube videos for the key functions only. As the Good to Know app is being decommissioned it appears the only way to access through the replacement app is for the newer vehicles.

Thanks in advance for anyone that may be able to help.

This might be a silly question, but do you know for certain that the My Porsche App will not give you the digital owners manual. Even though your car won’t have all tbe same connectivity as a newer car it might still let you download the manual. it’s worth a try if you haven’t done so.

I’ve searched the My Porsche app for the 981 Boxster instructions. Not there. Have sent Porsche an email expressing my dissatisfaction that they have shut down the old app before transferring the content to the new app, which can’t be exactly difficult. Not expecting much of a result but I used to use Good to Know occasionally and found it very useful. Porsche seem hell-bent on annoying customers with non-current cars.

Indeed I have. There's no way to view documentation & the app is geared up towards those that have connected services which are on the newer generations.

Please let us know how you get on Brian. Fingers crossed one can be shared.

Contrary to my earlier post and the impression given by the "Good to know" app that the 981 info isn't on the "My Porsche" app yet, I've now discovered that it is. I think you first have to load your vehicle onto my.porsche.com (ie on the web) - I did that ages ago and can't remember how, but I think using "add vehicle" and the VIN.

If I then go to the My Porsche app on my device (in my case iPad), log in, touch Vehicle (bottom left) it correctly shows at the top I have a Boxster S. On the top right of the screen in a small font is the word "Details". Touch that and there are 3 tabs "Overview" (all the fields are empty because the 981 is not connected to the web), "Functions" (which seems to be all about electric charging!) and "Manual". If you touch "Manual", it then downloads what appears to be the interactive material previously available in the "Good to Know" app with chapters, interactive images and text similar to that in the hard copy manual.

I haven't reviewed everything yet but it looks all there for my 981 Boxster S. Presumably if you load your Cayman, that will be there too. Good luck!

Thank you Brian, I followed these steps and can see the 'manual' myself. A lot of good info here & will suffice.

If anyone has a copy of the Owners manual they could share still, that'd be amazing. Thanks
