We had our GTS Serviced yesterday (2 years) and on drop off OPC mentioned a "recall" .. I meant to ask what that was about at pick up but forgot .. Today I got an email "the recall that we discussed on your GTS actually requires body shop attention so I do need to get this booked in at some point to ensure we can complete the required work for you. We may need the vehicle for a few days, are you able to come back to me with some dates so I can liaise with the body shop?"

[FONT=sans-serif"]Any one else had body / paint work recall on GTS or any variant 981 ? The official Porsche recall web page says "Last updated Aug 02,2016" and "There are no open recalls for this vehicle as at the date above." [FONT=verdana, geneva"]

[FONT=sans-serif"]I will call OPC tomorrow to discuss what it is as well[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Just changed our previous Boxster for a GTS a few weeks ago and nothing mentioned, so will be interested to hear the full story on this please?

Its a recall for a re application of the underbody "underpaint"

Is there a manufactured date for this or does it relate to all those produced?

I am sorry I forgot to ask .. in my defense I was scheduling the GTS in for this "recall" and also my Cayenne in for a wheel refurb and juggling 2 diaries and dates and loan cars etc

As it happens I'm currently awaiting information on a bonnet paintwork issue relating to my GTS. In my case it was what appeared to be a small human hair under the lacquer right at the tip of the bonnet - so small that it only came to light recently when it was spotted by a specialist detailer who was working on the car. It doesn't seem connected to any of the above, but the body shop that examined the car sent their findings off to Porsche UK a few weeks ago and I haven't heard anything since. Probably just a coincidence.

Edit to add: mine's a 2015 model (delivered on 31st March).

I have checked the service history book of mine and note that in December 2015 it is showing a "Service Campaign" Designation/Campaign Code No. WE62, not sure what this relates to and if it is some kind of recall what it was for, any ideas???
