981 - leak from washer bottle on steep downhill ?

On reflection, the air on *could* be the cause, yes. Mine needs re-gassing so was set to max for the hour long drive (it’s so feeble at the moment). The volume of discharge was much higher than I’ve seen from a/c condensate on my non-Porsche cars but they rarely try this hard…

Another day, another problem!

Parked on a steep downhill today after an hour long drive, came back 30 mina later to find a large damp patch running out from under the front-left (basically below the washer bottle area). Steep as in the rear of the car was probably a good 1-2 feet above the front.

Tasted a drip from the undertray and it’s consistent with washer fluid (probably! - no bittering agent that would signify coolant, not oily, not all that soapy either….)

My Indie might have refilled the bottle when he serviced it a few months back - otherwise I’ve not refilled it in living memory - so I don’t *think* it has just been overfilled.

Any ideas? Is it likely just to be a overflow?

There’s clearly still washer fluid in the system as I used it a couple of times on the trip back.

Check the water. If it's clear and odourless then most likely Air conditioning and nothing to worry about.

Washer bottle fluid has antifreeze in it.

Hope so. I went over a big 'yump' in mine and the car grounded. Stopped to inspect the damage and water was dripping from the underneath but no issues in the last 4 weeks so thinking this was the air con too

To be fair, I’ve come into the Porsche world from 20 years and 60-70k-miles of spirited Caterham touring/track days/competition and have possibly fallen into the “if you think something is wrong and start looking for a problem, you”ll find one” inevitability!
