981 Leak - Washer bottle?

Did you use the washers while you were out and about?

It could be the scuttle panel or drain itself had detritus in it and the windscreen washing has flushed it down and out...

Yes, think I did, maybe it’s just it draining down after washing screen and got a bit of gunk washed thru with it

That certainly used to be the case on my old 981, I always tried to jet wash out the scuttle and drain holes when washing the car.

Also, check that the car is clean on the body around the hinges between the door and the chassis. It's a bit fiddly to clean in there but if it's dirty they may have spilled some washing fluid when topping it up at the OPC and it's flushed out some dirt from there too.

Just had my GTS back from 2 weeks at OPC, after a run out I've noticed either leak or splatter around bottom edge of NSF wing. Bone dry outing, so suspicious it is leaky washer bottle that may have been filled up? No sign of splash around washer filler cap. Would try and show a picture but I must now be to old to use Flickr as I cannot work out how to add a photo :-(., so attached file instead.
any one else had this issue (the washer not flickr)?
Thanks
Jono

Mine did similar recently, with all the dusty rain we have had, even on a filthy car it was visible - didn't have a panic, as unlikely a car that hasn't moved or been tinkered with will just spill its fluids. Spent a very satisfying 4 hours cleaning it today, including pressure washing the areas.

Still have green algae in my rear lights, got a bit more out with the pressure washer, but scared to go to far & penetrate the lights themselves. Think patchy, it now looks worse than when all green - need to get a friend to whip them out when he has time.
