981 Rear Arm Bushes

981 Boxster March 2016 24V Black Edition, 24,000 miles. Being told the Rear Arm Bushes are splitting. Seems a low mileage for this to happen. Is it a common problem? Apparently complete arms have to be fitted, cannot just fit bushes. Any advice would please.

I take it you mean 2016, if so that seems very early, mine (2015) and 29k was on the hoist today and everything was in order for the MOT.

I wouldn't expect that sort of wear and would want a second opinion, do you have extended warranty in case they might be covered.

Thanks Peter, the date is 2016, I do have extended warranty but JCT Leeds says its a worn part and not covered, will talk to them again.

No way. Rubber bushes don’t perish in four years. I’d ask to see for myself under the car on the ramp. On a 20, 30 year old car yes but not on a new boxster. Has to be a manufacturing defect I’d say.
