981 Sticking Brake Pedal

Had a strange fault on my 2013 981S the other day. Came to the end of an uneventful motorway drive, stopped at the roundabout on the junction and as I pulled away I could tell something wasn't quite right. (Not usual for the PDK to have to change down two gears to accelerate from 65 to70mph!) A mile or so later, on pulling away from another r/b, I got two warning messages " PSM disabled" and "Auto stop/start disabled". Anyway, it turned out that the brake pedal pivot includes a plastic bush that is a bit tight and can get sticky when it's warm. This means the brake pedal can stay slightly depressed without you realising it. The PSM cuts out because it thinks you are braking and accelerating at the same time. Fortunately it was fixed quickly under warranty. (Thanks also to PC Tewkesbury who helpfully diagnosed the problem and advised I could drive back home to Solihull if I kept the footwell cool and was prepared to pull the brake pedal up with my toe should it stick again). Both dealerships confirmed (obliquely) that it's a known problem.

Yep - known problem. Mine was done this week. Spare part(s) in stock!!
Should be a recall?
28 months old - 21,000 miles.

Porsche will only fit new part after the part has failed - brilliant customer care! Plus of course our regulator is useless so won't require a recall.

Mine also failed a few days after I had the car, and was replaced after being recovered to Reading, so I suspect more common than I was informed about.

Mine was recovered on a trailer and repaired under warranty. How come no recall if it was so dangerous that they insisted on trailer recovery once I told them about it??
