981. 2013. Ticking noise at constant speed independent of engine revs from rear OS air inlet.
I suspect debris touching fan blades. How do I access a fan here. ? Are there any illustrations to show the layout on this model. ?

Hi , I’ve had this problem with leaves sticking in mesh and had leaf stuck round fan blade . Luckily was able to clear using a long nozzle on hoover . I have since fitted grills . Good luck with a fix .Adrian

Thanks for the advice. I dislodged something with a thin tube on the Dyson but some noise persists. Hopefully the next long run will wear the offending item away. Having a picture of the fan in relation to the ducting is most helpful.
I recently visited a friend who used an endoscope to locate an ancient acorn in one of my rear drain tubes. This tool could be useful too.

Had to replace my fan in March of this year, the ticking noise wouldn't clear, it wasn't debris and so the unit was swapped out.
