The passenger side windscreen washer seems to push plenty of liquid out, but it hits the windscreen surround - even when stationary, and i cannot see any way of adjusting it up so it hits the windscreen when moving. i have tried a pin in the jet and it doesn't seem to move

They can't be adjusted. Bonkers but true. I guess the jet mounting is misaligned somehow or something is stuck in it (maybe some hard water scale, the jets are heated) which is misdirecting it. With some diligent Googling you will find there are a variety of solutions to Porsche jet replacements, some from elsewhere in the VW stable.

Mine was doing this and it gradually got worse, I bought replacement jets but the fault remained.

It transpired the water pipe was kinked and the flow was reduced, with the bonnet open I could straighten the pipe at the point it left the wing and entered the bonnet and the flow increased. Eventually the pipe split at this point and I replaced it curing the initial problem.

There is a link on Boxta net a guy called Daz has a vid showing how to do it he used a VW part as seem to be same part but cheaper ,they just click out I bought a replacement and at an open day at a OPC this was shown as not working told tec I had one and he offered to clip it in done in seconds .Here you go
