986 2.5 windows dropped by themselves a wee bit

Parked the car in a car park, all locked up, and went into the shops. We came back about 10 minutes later, unlocked the car, I opened the drivers door to pull the lever for the front boot. We put something in boot, then locked the car as before and walked away. The windows were definitely closed at this stage.

We came back about 20 minutes later to find both windows had dropped by the amount they drop when opening the roof. The car was still locked and there were no alarms sounds nor warning lights. This is the first time this has happened. What has caused it, and what do I need to do now?

Note that I have since locked the car in the office car park, and there are no problems with the windows at the moment.

I have come back to my car on two occasions ( in 8 years) to date to find the windows half down. I can only assume it's a glitch with the alarm system. I have never bothered to have it investigated as it has happened so infrequently and OPC's don't appear to have very good track record at fixing things like this.

OK, sounds good. I've been hovering over the car like a nanny hen since it happened, and of course it hasn't happened again.

Cheers,
Paul

happened to me twice on my first boxster and once on the 2nd one - I just put it down to a glitch and forgot about it - if it happens often get it seen to, but for once a year, forget it.
