986 Boxster S throttle not responding.

Hi.
My Boxster S has suddenly developed a fault in that the engine does not respond to the throttle pedal.
The signal from the pedal goes from 0 to 100 so assume that is ok.
The throttle body is clean but does not calibrate when the ignition is switch d on and does not move when the throttle pedal is pushed.
Am I correct to assume this means a new throttle body is required or could it be something else.
Also is there anywhere that reconditions the electrics on throttle bodies as it appears that everything comes as one unit.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Am not an expert in these things but "fly by wire" throttles uses potentiometers.
One is on the pedal and the second is on the throttle body.
The voltage generated by moving the pedal dictated by pedal position is then mimicked at the second on the throttle body.
Apparently most modern cars have a pair of potentiometers at each pedal/throttle sensor to improve reliability and I assume the signals go via the engine ECU.
I suspect you will need a diagnostic error code scan to find out exactly where the fault is.

Hi thanks for your reply.
I have now checked both the throttle pedal and throttle body and there are no faults with either of them.
Does this mean that it is likely to be a fault with the ECU itself.
Thanks David

Hi All.
I have now removed and cleaned the throttle body which is now replaced.
Problem is now the car run roughly with the yellow engine light either flashing or permanently on.
I have done the reset of ignition on for 60 seconds and then off for 12.
The engine starts fine but when under load is hesitant.
The car has power when further up the Rev range at full throttle but will be rough at slow speeds and on light throttle.
I hav driven it for 10 miles or more hoping the ECU will relearn its settings but still not right.
Any ideas or advice greatly recieved.
David
