I have a 986s, that recently got hit by a 5 mph range rover.

Anyway the bumper, light cluster, and possibly the aluminium bumper thing want replacing. However the rear high speed stabiliser has come up and stayed up. So;

1 - when is it suppose to come up?
2 - when is it suppose to come down?
3 - is it electric hydroloic?
4 - why would it stay up? It's been fine for 10 days since the accident, and when it came up I can't have been exceeding 65mph. I have exceeded 70 mph previously.

Ta. :)

It goes up automatically at 75MPH, and goes down again at 50.

However you can also raise and lower it using the rocker switch in the drivers footwell - on the fusebox cover. (Useful when washing the car).
If you raise it manually, and then drive the car, it will stay up until it has reached the speed when it would automatically function - and then revert to it's normal automatic mode.

It sounds like yours might be jammed due to the collision, or possibly the wiring to the motor that raises it is damaged?

After going a drive with vmax 60mph, of didn't go down. After going a drive, with vmax reaching 90, it did.

Maybe I pressed the button????

Ta for your help anyway. :)
