986 roof handle lock issue

Hi everyone,

Ive just had a 986 boxster which after 2 days of owning, im very happy with.

I do however have a slight problem with the release handle for the roof

it doesnt lock into place when closed as it should, so im unsure if the latch is broken or maybe a cable ?

its a pain for 3 reasons,

when roof is up, the handle hangs down slightly which is unsightly
when the roof is being folded away, tha handle drops down and the roof then doesnt sit as flat as it should, so you need to move it

and when putting the roof up or down, i now need to hold the latch itself so it doesnt stop the motor working

has anyone else had this, and how was it solved?is it a simple wire or a new handle needed and if so how hard to change yourself?

many thanks for any help you maybe able to offer
