986 Tiptronic selector button hard difficult to depress

Has anyone had issues with the selector button being hard to depress sometimes? At the moment it is sometimes locked as if the brake peddle is not being depressed. To resolve, the brake peddle has to be pumped hard a couple of times for it to be unlocked and then can be depressed.

The only difference is the brakes have been bled so I'm thinking the pedal doesn't travel as far to release the button... is there an adjuster for the brake peddle or for the cable to make it easier for the selector button to release?

Any clues will be helpful. [:)]

Update... when the car is warmed up more, it is easier to use the button, plus the button can be freed easier when slowly pressing and releasing the brake. I've ordered a service manual to see how the button release mechanism works because sometimes is releases when the brake is being released slowly. Very odd.
