Hello , guys from Athens
I have a 01' model BoxterS , with 17inch stock wheels , and im thinking to buy some new wheels for my car .
Who can inform me if i can fit the new ( from 987 model ) wheels , or not /
Thanks in advance !
Takis

....from 911design.com , told that i can choose the 19 inch 5 arms new Techno wheels for my 986 with direct fitment ! Nice wheels , i think .......[:)]

I doubt the design911 ones are true Porsche wheels - they are probably inferior copies, which may be differing in offset, and certainly in weight.

You should also check the availability of tyres if you are going to go 19s - you will probably need 265/30 or 275/30 on the rear to keep the gearing and speedo reading the same as your current set up - neither of these sizes are Porsche approved.

propably , is better to use 18inch as , oliver , told me ........but i like to use 19......[:D].
Yes , these are not Porsche wheels , as they told me ...they are Techno wheels and i dont now about the quality . As they told me also , these 19 inch are direct fitment for 986 Boxters , and this is the most important ........
I can found easily here in Athens tires for 19inch rims . No probem about that !!
The most importan for me is if they are ..really direct fit for 986 's !!!!
