987.2 Radio wont switch on

Hi all,
I have a problem with the radio/CDR30 (6 CD autochanger) unit. My 2010 car did this once before last year but started working again, now seems dead, the on/off volume button fails to switch the unit on. While I haven't traced fuses yet (can't find a manual that tells me which one anyway) I wonder if this is a common issue? The cars having an MOT/Service at Portsmouth Porsche in a few weeks and I suppose I could ask them to spend an hour or so diagnosing what the problem is but thought I'd ask here first. As I'm intending to sell the car once freshly serviced/MOT'd I need to get it fixed. All help greatly appreciated. Attached image showing unit, must work out how to in-line images....

Regards, Dave

Realised the car was still under warranty so called the local independent sports car specialist I bought the car from and they said they would check to see if entertainment systems were covered by my warranty. He asked me to try the following before I take the car in anyway, I'd like to ask if anyone else has tried the following with any success... with the key in and ignition on (dash lights on but not running, remove the negative battery connection, wait minimum 30mins, re-connect terminal and switch ignition off, remove key, lock car. Then unlock and see if the PCM/ radio / CD system will switch on as the PCM and other modules have been reset by disconnecting the battery as per above instructions. I'm a little unsure about this but am assured the alarm won't go off etc.
Any thoughts?

An update..... car is at the dealership now, when dropped off it seems my warranty isn't as good as I hoped and if the entire lump needs replacing they are very expensive. I'll hear more tomorrow I expect, am hopeful that a reset of the modules will bring it back to life but if not decisions to be made. Has anyone else replaced the entire unit before, if so where from and how much? Thanks for any info.

Regards,
Dave

It's fixed, thankfully. The garage removed it, reset it (somehow) and hey presto it now works once again, completed under warranty. This could have ended very differently financially as the warranty was very limited I found out but fortunately was resolved. Just the service and MOT early next month and then I'm looking to sell. At least everything works as it should now.

Regards, Dave

Quite a few audio issues are sorted by disconnecting -ve battery lead, unplugging fiber optic cables from cd changer & amp then refitting in FOC then battery.
This has fixed my Bose amp not working problem.
Many people always say Bose isn't worth it but blimey my ears bleed now!!
