toying with the idea of swopping my seats to alcantara instead of leather.
alcantara seats are rare in a Boxster. Are Cayman seats the same, i.e. Useable in my 2009 car?
if anyone one here fancies a swop please contact me, or have a pair for sale.

Graham,

My memory's not great these days but I don't recall Alcantara being an option on the 987-series cars. Maybe with the Sport Bucket seats?

I'm sure that Boxster and Cayman seats will be interchangeable, and most probably 997 seats too, but I don't know if 981-series seats will fit our cars. It will be down to seat-rail fixing compatibility.

I suspect that it would probably be easier - and maybe cheaper - to get your existing seats re-covered.

You could well be correct Jeff!
They are as rare as hardtops for the 987.2.
There is a pair but in Sea Blue on ebay from an established Porsche breaker, £350 the pair.
Have been quoted £600 for a change from leather to alcantara.
'Request' is from the wife, the cold shock in the winter and the scorching heat in the summer of the leather, but my Skoda Superb has alcantara seats and is good no matter what, so she can draw the comparison!
