987.2 servicing

Please bear with me as I am new to Porsche and have only owned my 987.2 for a year.
As per my "drive belt replacement" post, I am considering doing the next service myself as OPC/indie service costs seem ott for something I am quite capable of doing myself.
And although I was considering "trading up" to a 981 sometime in the future and therefore thought it best to get the service done by an OPC, I have thought I really like this car I have so lets get stuck in.
But I have a few questions that somebody that may have been down this road before may be able to answer for me ....
  1. brake fluid change - I normally use Pagid Dot4 brake fluid from EuroCar Parts (£5 for a litre) for my other cars but notice Porsche brake fluid 000.043.203.66 as sold by Desegn911.UK at £26 for a litre is what is "recommended" and what was used (obviously) at the first service. As the car is probably a keeper, is it worth/necessary to use the Porsche brand fluid or using my "engineering common sense", any good quality fluid will do?
  2. PDK fluids - I notice in the service manual that there are two fluid change intervals, 1) PDK clutch oil change at 6 years & 2) PDK transmission fluid change at 12 years. Now my local indie has quoted £120+vat for, I think, the transmission fluid change at 6 years which is the service which is coming up soon. Though I am quite capable of doing all the other service work, is it best that either/both of these fluid changes are left to the professionals?
  3. Service indicator - I have a basic OBD error code reader. Does anyone know if the service interval dashboard lamp can be reset with one of these or does it require something more sophisticated?
Thanks to anyone that can help.
Keith
