Anybody else going? Just posted back my acceptance today.

Wont be buying - Steve's waiting for the CS - but very keen to cast an eye over the new baby.

[:)]

We aren't you the lucky one getting an invite:rolleyes:.

It might have been nice if our local OPC had invited the local PCGB region along for a viewing, but then I guess this is a bit much to ask. [>:]

 Typical - I assumed i'd been sent an invite due to the fact that I am a member of the PCGB and we'd all get one. It was the only reason I could cite seeing that i've never bought a car from an OPC in my life. I've just had my car serviced there - like most people on the board.

Blow that for a game of soldiers. Would have been lovely to have an Essex PCGB meet.

Can't Martyn use his considerable sway????

[:(]

[:)]I will be going[:)] Although I am not a member as long as I like the car as much as in the brochure then I will be placing an order and becoming a member of the PCGB. See you there Dawn.

Dawn and Heather,

you are some of the chosen few. Even with my exulted position, I haven't been given an invite, despite the fact that I did buy my car from them [:(]

Essex region members, of course, also provided an excellent chronological display of 911's through the ages to assist OPC Colchester with their 997 launch.

However, I will try to organise one of our club evenings with them next year when the real Porsche enthusiasts can see the cars.

Heather, please e-mail me at R11@porscheclubgb. com and I will send you membership forms, if you don't already have them.

Great news Heather. I'll be sure to say hello! [:D]
So as you recognise me I will be the one asking the stupid questions that every Porsche owner will already know the answers to. Please say hello [:)]

Thanks Martin. I should have a form somewhere but I will be sure to email you if I cannot find it.

And i'll be the brunette dwarf drooling over the bonnet of all the 911's![:D]

Go on Martyn, make that call to Colchester, you know you can do it!!! Then I can have the pleasure of chatting incessantly to/at you (not such a pleasure for you I know [:D] )

[:)]

Go on Martyn, make that call to Colchester,

That's all well and good but how should one phrase such a telephone call?

Option A

Oh hello. I wonder, if it's not too much trouble, do you think I might come along to your Boxster launch? Please. I wouldn't be any trouble.

or

Option B

Now look here my man, it would seem you have obviously lost my address as I don't seem to have received an invite to your forthcomming Boxster bash. Not an issue, I'll be along at about 8:15, I just thought I'd let you know so you don't start without me. Ah, and while I think about it, I prefer Merlot.

I rather like option B and think we should all phone up and use those exact words.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

O.K, I do see your point - and you did make me laugh!!!

I might have a spare place actually if anybody would care to join me. My husband is currently debating whether he'll be playing badminton next Wednesday - I ask you - Porsche Boxster launch or a game of badders???[8|]

I'm going to get an answer one way or the other out of him tonight but i've told them i'm bringing someone so i'll definitely be bringing someone!!!

[:D]
