Hi All,

Waiting for an April 987 build to arrive and told to expect deliverying in May? Whats the current experience in actual leadtimes for delivery, as I have a sneaking suspicion it may slip a month. Couldn't get any further insight from my OPC, except that April deliveries were a tad delayed. [:'(]

Cheers Jon

My OPC said that once it's in the system they can tell you actual delivery date to within 3 days. I assume "in the system" is when they start building it. Whether any slippage is genuinely outside of the OPC's control or whether the original May date was a load of rhubarb to stop you going to another OPC or not would be a matter for you to pick up with you sales guy...

For the record, in Jan Colchester OPC told me May build for June delivery, and now they are saying it may be May delivery. Sounds great but I've now got to find a big pile of readies a month earlier than I intended. Doh!

[;)]My car was finally confirmed in January and I was told March build and probably an April delivery. Anyway my car was actually built Feb 15th and delivery was 11th March delayed by another week due to alarm fault 2 hours before my scheduled collection from OPC [&o]

Mine is set for a May build with a June delivery. I was contacted abut 8 weeks ago and told I had been moved forward by 2 months so I could get it delivered in April.

Told them I didn't want it then, I want it delivered in June like we agreed.

I guess they had a drop out which freed a build slot.

I will be checking on progress of mine as from next week. I have to really as I have to sell my current one to pay for it.

Thanks for the experiences on actual delivery dates. Will check with the OPC again this month to see if its actually been built. Cheers jon

Mine was built on 7th April, and was confirmed at port in Germany on 8th April. I've been told it'll take at least 5 days to get to Reading, and then 2 days for PDI, dealer fit options and registration, so can expect the car between 15th and 18th April.

Edited to add that if you car is built in Finland, it takes longer than this to arrive. I was told to add another week to 10 days onto German built cars.
