Any suggestion for removal of coolant pipes pipes at the front of the 987 as the one above took some time to get out.
Is there a method?
I still have two to remove from the passenger side.

Don't! ... Replace the aluminium cross pipe which connects to it as well at the same time. This allows you to just cut this pipe off during replacement.

it does mean more work lowering the subframe, but the aluminium pipe is normally in a bad state anyway and well worth replacement.
Kind Regards Lee Jones

Interestingly the hoses came out of alloy pipe no problem it was the plastic pipe that has proved trouble some.
This looks more complicated to remove presume the alloy pipe from the other side connects into it somewhere
Just have one hose left to do in a plastic pipe.

Did you apply any rust inhibitor when you reassembled.
May try either Vaseline of silicone grease over the metal collet.
The rust appears to be coming from road salt thrown up as the inside of the metal work was clean.
The new pipes seems to have been galvanised so maybe more rust resistant

I will replace the alloy pipes as long as they come out.
thanks for the reply

ok so finally the car is back together.
But if you have a 2007 model year plus, the burp valve has moved to the engine compartment from the boot area. There is also another filling point in the engine compartment
To access the engine compartment requires putting the Boxster hood into service mode.
This is a fairly easy process but you will need to wear soft clothes or service covers for the car.
So as not to scratch the body work.
While in the engine bay you should check power steering fluid.
