Thinking I'd like the exhaust to sound a bit better without spending £4/5k.

Porscheshop has a "eurogt high flow system at £750 + fitting. Anyone got experience of this kit?

I'd like a bit more noise without it being intrusive on mway cruising.

I was looking into this, I have the same car, and my research found these guys.
Have read many good reviews.

Carnewal

I was interested in the exchange service they offer.

Had a Carnewal on my 987 Gen 1 it was perfect volume tone and zero effect on the emissions at MOT time. Can highly recommend and Gert is a gent to deal with

just buy the Carnewal R tuned exhaust its 1250 euro.

it's a 55mm pipe and modded to sound nicer also.

it's an out right buy not and exchange, so you can sell yur car stock NEVER do an exchange dealers want to buy stock cars.

"P87-2 Carnewal GT exhaust made from new Cayman R mufflers

for P87 in Exhaust

The Carnewal GT exhaust is a reworked original exhaust, modified in our workshop. For this GT exhaust, we use new and orginal CaymanR exhausts.
Everything looks 100% orginal on the outside but the internals are changed to a better flowing, less restrictive exhaust.
The result is a louder and sportier sound with no reasonance.

This exhaust is sold as straight purchase, no exchange system. "

You can have the genuine PSE retrofitted for under £2k, and have the benefits of being the car being "standard" and of course it's a switchable system.

why pay 2k for one which turns off at 20-40mph just when you want it on (even if it is on) when you can buy a modded R one for £992
which not only will sound better, it's lighter and also will give a bit bit of bhp.

Its more like 1240 quid, as there is 21% VAT to add on according to an email I've just got from Carnewal.

That is exactly the quote I got. I spoke to Gert Carnewal. He says the normal 987gt exchange exhaust is little different from the Cayman R and not worth spending the extra bucks on. I ordered the 987gt on Friday morning and it has just arrived by Fedex. €1095 including the fitting kit, with a €500 refund when I return my current exhaust.

I have been quoted £67 +vat per hour for fitting by Autofarm Porsche and Gert reckons 2 hours for fitting.

Fitting week tomorrow. I'll post on here a report on the noise when I've tried it!!

I note Autofarm also supply and fit Dansk exhausts. Did they give you a quote for these as they seem quite reasonable, and has anybody tried them?
Thanks

I have a valvetronic exhaust supplied and fitted by Performance Porsche , it brill as you can switch between normal ( still louder than standard) and sports mode, if makes the car so much better and sounds great when ragging around country roads.
