I have just been to have my 2005 boxsters mot
Done and have been told one of the front spring
Is broken.does any body know of this is a big and
Expensive job.?

I guess it depends on who you have do it. An OPC might insist I change both front spring. I think is 2 hours labour.

I've got a full set of std springs for sale, if you're close to the Wirral, Merseyside I could pop the front ones on too, doddle of a job.

Hi Tiger!,

Yes, it's a common problem luckily not too expensive £169 a pair on Euro ( likely to be the same or relabelled for Porsche ). A reputable garage should be able to do the job without issue rather than being tucked up at £140ish +vat an hour at an OPC.... ouch!

Regards

Just booked it in at northway. They said a common problem.£390 incl vat and genuine parts so not too bad i suppose.

I paid Porsche Nottingham £600 to do this job when one of mine snapped. You need to change them in pairs so you have to buy 2
