Hi I'v been offered a set of 987 Boxster "S" 2005 wheels.
Front 8 x 18" ET 57
Rear 9 x 18" ET 43.
I want to fit them to my 986 "S" 2001 (51 plate)
Will they fit or will I need to Buy spacers and longer bolts. If so what size.

Thanx all

Official 18" alloys for the 986 cars are et50 front and et52 rear. Youc ould get the front pair to fit with 7-8mm spacers but the rear offset is already too far outboard to fit the 986

Unless you roll the rear arches a bit or run some serious stretch on the tyres.

you may be able to have the mating face of the wheel machined down to reduce the offset too if theres enough metal there to do so, any good machine shop or wheel specialist could advise you on whether or not machining is an option.

I had some wheels machined in the past when I built my 200sx drift car, I had the mating faces reduced and the centre bores altered and did not weaken the wheels in any way.

To be fair though it can end up costing alot so may not be worthwhile.
