987 with PCM

Hello everyone,
I'm new to Boxster ownership, although I've had various 911's over the past 15 years and latterly a 944 Turbo. My car is a 2005 987S and I'm generally pretty pleased with it. It has the PCM with sat nav which I'm still getting to grips with. Apologies if this question has been asked before, but does anyone know of a way to connect an IPOD to the system?
I'm going to Silverstone on Saturday and the Anniversary weekend in September, so hope to meet some of you there.
All the best, Richard

the 987 uses a MOST fibre optic system to communicate with external devices so there are no simple RCA jack plug inputs into hte unit. You need an interface device. The best options are mobrige or dension but are pricey, you can also use bluetooth mobile phone kits from Parrot, tooki or similar which will connect but not allow control from the pcm.

There used to be, or may still be, a Porsche retrofit kit. But, this involved taking apart most of the centre console to install. I assume therefore with Porsche installation costs it was pretty expensive.

Mobridge unit £600 fitted call Gavin @ AVR mobiles 08452304051

They put a ipod/ipad dock in your glove box out the way and you can connect upto 5 bluetooth devices (although not simultaneously)

I really rate mine and you dont have to disable it when you take your car to porsche for a service.
