987s - Loss of power :(

Went for a sunday drive and the car was spot on we stopped for some dinner and jumped back in the car, waited for the ignition lights to go out and started up. Drive the car and it had no power past 3k revs In all gears was like hitting a brick wall . The car Would rev past 3k but felt like i was pulling a lorry up a steep hill, also couldnt heel and toe as when brakes were applied throttle didnt work..... pulled over, turned everything off, gave it 5mins restarted and everything came back to life.
Checked ecu memory no codes.... any ideas ?? Thanks
 
When I had a similar problem it was coil packs corroded. I don't know if that would show up as a fault code on your checks but they are prone to corrosion.
