991.2 Battery

Does anyone know if the current cars with the automatic stop start system need to have the electrolyte level in the battery occasionally checked / topped up?

There is nothing in the handbook about battery maintenance.

Nothing to do, these are the more recent AGM batteries (absorbent glass mat) designed for use with stop/start functions and hold their charge longer than the traditional ones found in the earlier 997. If you leave the car for more than a few weeks it is worth putting a CTek battery conditioner or similar on it, but other than that - maintenance free.

Thank you, I looked at the battery and it did appear to be a sealed top.
I'm already using a Ctek all the time when in the garage, as the car isn't driven every day.
