991.2 - getting steering wheel to stop moving when unlocking car

Hi all !
recently bought a 2018 targa 4 gts and love it.
I can’t get the settings sorted re the steering wheel. I like to have it high up and all the way out. However, when I go back to the car it is always all the way in so I have to pull it all the way out again before driving off.
I know it is something to do with the comfort settings and I have tried fiddling around with them but to no avail. All I want is the steering wheel to stay in one position all the time. I have tried to alter the comfort settings but they don’t seem to save . Anyone got any ideas ? I think it may be as simple as me not entering the settings ( the tick boxes) correctly and them not saving . .

Hi - Had similar problem with my recently purchased 991.2. Yes it is all to do with key memory. Do you have keyless entry/drive? If so when you have the seat and steering wheel - plus all the multi-screen settings/steering wheel heater/mirror positions etc to your liking then with the ignition on or engine running press the memory button on the drivers door followed by the key symbol button. This will save all your settings to that key which will need to be repeated separately for the other key as well. You can also program the seat and steering wheel in a different positions using the memory button on the door and the 1 & 2 buttons next to it. Regrettably the handbook is not as clear on setting this all up as it could have been. Hope this helps.
