991.2 - Porsche Track Precision App drops out

Hello,

Does anyone have any insight on how to use Porsche track precision app?

It seems for me it drops out after ~4 minutes and I am having trouble connecting.

I use my phone in flight mode connected to car WiFi hotspot.

I seen this but didn’t know where to find the option to deselected data sharing any help from fellow owners please?

Sadly I have tried emailing the app support 2 times but no reply from smartmobility@porsche.co.uk

The app often seems to have a mind of its own and many committed track drivers use other apps however I have been stubborn and tried to get it to work over the last 10 years.

The current iOS 4.3.4 version is now relatively stable. I find it best to connect by cable to the USB port in the centre console and switch off the PCM. You can also use the phone to record video, just need a longer USB cable to reach the windscreen mounted phone.

Oh, so you dont need to conect with WIFI? I will give the cable a go, didn't cross my mind....

-> I understood it diffrently "the data sharing", refers to PCM sharing Internet connection over Wifi causing the connection dropouts? But I am not clear... I suspected its something to do with PCM thats why...
