991 C2S Electronic issues

I am having issues with my car which has now done nearly 13k miles. They all centre around what is described by my OPC as the slow reaction electronic control system. So far, the handbrake has locked on, the engine cover would not re-lock after opening, the oil measurement guage is not reliable, the memory seats and radio settings return to the factory settings, the overall mileage shows a remarkable 94 mpg (not true!) and, best of all on a night of constant rainfall the sunroof and windows decided to open all by themselves leaving the car locked. I love the car but my confidence in its continued useability is severely dented. The OPC has now had the car back four or five times, always with the same response, the car has no record of the events! Has anyone else had any related issues with the performance of their vehicle?

That's a new one on me [:D] clearly a potentially major problem if windows and roof open on their own...
I've not heard of this or any of your other symptoms but maybe others will know more. Is your OPC treating this seriously?
 
They are starting to and, at the moment, accept that this is not of merchandisable quality but, as always, it needs some thought from Head Office.
 
It's latest trick was to open the bonnet overnight and it is now back with the OPC for the fourth time in as many months :( At the moment no-one knows what the issue is and they seem unwilling to grasp the nettle by it's stem. I just wish I knew that someone else had similar issues, not that I wish bad fortune on others [8|]
 
I had a recurring problem with my Mercedes but despite telling the dealership what the problem could be ( an MB member had posted a turbocharger issue which resolve on being changed ) they could not pick it up when checking the memory.
The problem seemed to be that switching off the ignition cleared the fault and only when I drove into the service area ( to the concern of the technicians " but you shouldn't be in here sir!" ) and left the engine running did they log the fault.
The turbo was changed and all is fine....

Has the OPC tried an exorcism?

In my experience, Porsche GB normally bats the issue straight back to the OPC but you never know. Good luck with this.
 
Why not email PCGB's M.D. and ask for his assistance in getting the car sorted for once and all time

Personally if it was my car I would be rejecting the car for an immediate refund or exchange

Thanks for the suggestions guys, all gratefully received. Car is currently with the OPC and has been so for the last three weeks! They are talking to PGB without much luck, though I do have their demonstrator. Exorcism seems the most likely solution [:)]
 
anyone have a problem with loud brake squeal when coming to a halt in their 991 C2S?
any tips or advice on this?
 
Yes,

Take the car out and give the brakes the real workout. 2 or 3 hard applications from 70mph (!) should clean things up a bit.

Take comfort, PCCB's are even worse. We start worrying when they don't squeal. [:(]
