991 C4S - Tail light delamination

As per the title have any other 991 owners suffered with the tail lights delaminating, I have read on other forums that Porsche would replace them under warranty some time back. I noticed on my service history invoices that the previous owner had mentioned it to his Porsche dealership but they had said as the lamp was still working it was not faulty.
I did speak to Porsche HO Reading during this lockdown period and got what seems to be a stock answer in the motor trade, "you have used harsh chemicals on the car when cleaning it".
My point is that surely this is a manufacturing defect, yes the lamps are still working but from an appearance point of view it looks shoddy, I would appreciate the forums views please and whether they feel this would be claimable under the Porsche extended warranty scheme.
I have had several other Porsches and never experienced this on the tail lights. I also have an Audi Q3 with rear LED taillights no problems.

It's difficult to provide an opinion on something we can't see.
Can you post a photo?

The easiest way to upload your photo is to use the "Upload file to server" option at the bottom of the reply screen. Click on "Select" to bring up your File Explorer and select the photo file you want to upload. If it's a larger file 3500 kB, you will need to reduce its size in order to be accepted or it wont appear.

Using a web hosting site, you need to copy the URL from that site, then click on the little picture button (next to the binoculars) in the ribbon above. This brings up a box in which to paste the URL. Click on insert and you're done!

Hi Clive, No luck still, could i email them to you to upload for me please.

Yes, sure lancerlot@hotmail.co.uk.
BTW -if you're using the "quote" button to reproduce an earlier post when replying, you need to type your message AFTER the last (/quote) text, otherwise it becomes lost in the quotation box and is not so easy to pick up on.
But never fear - we'll get there![:D]

Mark the photos are now appearing in your first post.

I would say to resolve such problems satisfactorily is often down to the goodwill of individual centres.
I suggest your next step would be to email your PC addressed to the DP or the person dealing with warranty issues there, if you are able to ascertain who that is. Attach the photographs and suggest the quality of those components falls short of what might reasonably be expected in such a high-end, high value vehicle and you would be grateful if they would kindly arrange to have the faulty units replaced under warranty.
Then see how what follows. [;)]

Mark,
Yes I have experienced this fault with my rear lights. I would describe it as less "delimitation" and more "cracks" in the middle of both lenses. Fortunately, I brought it to the dealers attention when I purchased the vehicle and the dealer replaced them, without quibble, immediately. Rather worrying it may reappear in the future though!
