Can anyone recommend a set of winter tyres to run on the GTS? I'm looking at the the Michelin Pilot Alpin but not sure if they're OK to run (The Porsche garage won't recommend any to fit the original size rims) the fronts are 245/35/20 and the rears are 305/30/20 however the Michelin tyres for the rear only go up to 295/30/20 - would it be OK to run these?

Thanks for any help / guidance.

Thanks Mike, I already have a spare set of wheels for the GTS (original standard wheels with PZero) which I'd just like to put a set of tyres on but I can't find the wheel size and I suspect is slightly wider than the winter wheels Porsche are advertising. I'd just like some advice on winter tyres for these wheels.

Does anyone know if it is OK to run the Michelin Pilot Alpin on the standard rims considering the the front of 245 / 35 R20 95W XL (same size as the PZero fitted already) and the rear at 295 / 30 R20 101W XL (this is 10mm narrower as the Pzero fitted is 305 - its a 11.5J rim).

Why not contact Michelin and ask? (http://www.michelin.co.uk/contact). I have recently contacted both Goodyear and Michelin on a similar issue for another car using their web forms and was surprised to have a full and educated answer from both within hours. The Goodyear technical guy even rang me to discuss my question as he felt it was faster and easier than by email. I have previously found Michelin tech support very good (though you will probably prove me wrong!).

Hi there, I have a set of Pilot Alpin PA4 for sale. I bought them for my 991 S cab but quickly changed to a GTS. They've covered less than 100 miles. Porsche Leeds tech said it's fine to fit them to the rear 305 wheels. I've decided to keep my GTS off the road in the cold weather ( I have a Defender for these days :) so I don't need the tyres and theyre sat in my garage. They are as new, 245/35/20 and 295/30/20 N0 rated so homologated for Porsche. Please let me know if you're interested in chatting about them. Thanks, Alex
