Maybe they have realised they need to do something to get the sales moving, like mentioned earlier some will wait for the S over the standard car, where this way they get the money and keep those owners locked in.
I've heard nothing from my OPC- certainly nothing about a deposit but then from past experiences from the sales team- no surprises there.
Maybe when the Cayman launch is out of the way we'll hear more

The new Cayman is even getting a mention on the 991 Turbo thread[]

Releasing the 'S' before the 'base' model seems strange and unusual given the approach with other models.
I can't afford a Turbo (or Turbo 'S') for another 18 months or so (the wife wants a Macan first...), so I have a letter of intent for a 991 Turbo at my dealer but won't be in a rush to place a physical deposit.
Will be keen to see where the Turbo 'S' is priced if it is released before the Turbo - what are the predictions....??

I'd be surprised if you'd get much change out of £140k.ORIGINAL: sidicks

Latest word on the street is Turbo 'S' is being launched later this year with Turbo to follow early 2014.
Just a rumour - but from a reliable source. []

Clive.
