Driving beside and behind a silver 991 Turbo S on the M8 today, it looked great and what a noise?????? Incidentally, in all my years of driving Porsche it is the first time I have been aknowledged with a friendly wave and a smile.

I was driving up the M6 a few weeks ago and a very elderly gent was driving a white 997 and he gave me a cheeky smile and queen Elizabeth wave as he sped off at high speed - in the slow lane !

I had a 1981 SL and everyone waved, from adults and children on the pavement to people beeping their horns when passing. I think I am going to start waving and giving a cheesy grin to all porsche drivers to see the reactions;-)

Been driving Porsche's since 1992 ( now on No 15 ) and I can quite honestly say the response from other owners has been poor .Newer car owners do not seem to respond to a friendly wave or the flash of the lights. Most of the older model car drivers seem to responded in a more positive manner . In the 60/70's I was a Saab man and every owner flashed the lights and waved . A bit like the AA Patrol guys of the era , I guess it is the sign of the times now [:(]
