992 911 Turbo S: Innodrive Problem

Hi,

I'm about 3 weeks into new ownership and it's already been taken back to he OPC on a trailer to have the Innodrive fixed. A message came up saying Porsche Innodrive temporarily unavailable, or something similar. 1st time round it came back and was working - the Innodrive recognised the speed limits and automatically adjusted the speed of the car to suit. Lazy but a good gadget.

Now after a few days the same message appears every time I try to select it, so it's going back on the trailer again to the OPC for a 2nd try.

Anyone out there have any idea what's happened. The OPC are puzzled.

I had the same problem and the fix is very easy. Go to settings and find the Innodrive menu. There is a setting for maximum speed limit. The default is 20mph so the system will not function if you are over that speed. Set it to your desired speed and you should be all set to go.

I'll let the OPC know because the car's with them for that isue.

Hi again,

Innodrive not working again. It was working though after the Innodrive speed limit was raised from 20 mph.

It worked well. Not anymore. Reckon its a software bug.

Then today, same message saying Innodrive temporarily unavailable or some such tosh. Wtf

I’ve told the OPC but I fear the s*****g car will need to go back again. My Taycan’s with them having some sort of massive software update that they said took 9 hours.

i have this exact same issue on a 2021 C4 - owners in the US are reporting the same issue too.
mine has been at the dealer where they’ve downloaded data from the computer to check against my diary of dates and times it occurs.
this is clearly a worldwide issue and Porsche are not accepting they have a fault on their flagship car.
did you get any resolution?

Did I get a resolution? Yes. Dealer fitted a new computer. They said it fixed the problem. I didn't accept that & returned the car to them for a full refund which to be fair they were perfectly ok about.

I now have a 2022 911 Turbo S on order.

Did yours throw the same fault again? Mine randomly resets the max speed to 20mph every few journeys

... I can't seem to use the quote feature, hence this made up one above.

My previous 911 Turbo S about 3 years ago was a lemon and I never had all the faults resolved. Many were due to the axle lift system that made a noise like a wounded animal whenever it was used. Not the normal whine noise. Can't remember the other problems but there were a few and I got rid of it and lost £loads.

So it's the reason I abandoned this one because I thought it it might be exhibiting lemonade tendancies. I have replied to your private email but it just bounces back.
