992 Register Secretary Announcement

We are delighted to announce that David Wood will move from his current Register Assistant role to become 992 Register Secretary (South) with immediate effect, working alongside Martin Davis who remains 992 Register Secretary (North).

Mark Bridger is stepping down as Register Secretary, as he continues his "Porsche Journey” with the acquisition of a new Porsche Panamera GTS from OPC Portsmouth in the next few days. Like many of you in our Register, your Porsche CV is varied and includes many different models and for now Mark and his wife Alison have chosen the Panamera to continue theirs. We would naturally like to thank them both for their energy, enthusiasm and passion for the 992 and the PCGB brand, which we are sure will continue as members of the R17 Region.

Jonathan Brown from Cranleigh, Surrey joins the team as Assistant Register Secretary alongside current Assistant Tim Rice, who is based in the Midlands. Jonathan is the owner of a 992 Carrera 4S in Crayon and we look forward to continuing our progression with some interesting UK wide events during 2023 and beyond.

Farewell and thank you Mark, enjoy the Panamera GTS and welcome Jonathan as our new Assistant for the Register.

Regards

992 Registar Secretary

Thank you for the kind words and best wishes David and Team
It certainly was not a planned acquisition, but sometimes a car comes along when you are not expecting it...
We had just popped into OPC Portsmouth to get some new UK plates for the forthcoming PCGB Factory Visit and then nearly 4 Hours later, we left the showroom having purchased a brand new Porsche Panamera 4 GTS with 11 miles on the clock in Night Blue… We have never done that before, but we simply loved the car. Frankly the twin turbo 4 Litre V8 and the fact it had every extra known to man (and a few more) onboard, with a very appealing deal regarding my 911 on the table, helped considerably though.
We are disappointed not be continuing with the 992 Register Secretary journey and all that the role offered, but the deal is done and for now we are really enjoying experiencing owning and having a new Porsche proposition on the drive…
Thank you for the support we have received during our tenure and I am very confident that the new TEAM of Martin, David, Tim and Jonathan will be incredibly successful in taking the 992 Register forward now
Kind regards and Happy Driving !
Mark and Alison Bridger

Lovely set of wheels Mark. Thank you for all did for the 992 Register, and also for the guidance you gave me personally. Enjoy the Panny, I was amazed how rapid ours was for such a large machine. Best wishes Mark.

Hi Mark,

Strange how these things happen [:)] but temptation can be a challenge at times.

With your enthusiasm for the club it might be of interest to know that the Panamera Register has recently appointed a new register secretary, Randall Flack who I'm sure would be very pleased to hear from you if you would like to change direction to follow your new car.

Cheers,

Martin

Thank you for your Best Wishes Nigel and I trust you managed to achieve a satisfactory outcome to your situation too ?
Cheers
Mark

Many thanks Martin, I have already been in discussion with the PCGB Team, but for now we will focus on our R17 Membership... who knows what the future will bring ?
You can never tell, I certainly was not expecting to acquire a Panamera GTS, but so far, absolutely thrilled with it !
Cheers
Mark

I'm sure we all wish Martin well in the upgrade to his new post and with the personnel and helpers along, we certainly look forward to greater times ahead for 992 Register.

What is this now, RS number 7 or 8 since inception? To tell the truth I've rather lost count. [:D]

It takes time for a new incumbent to find their feet, so lets hope now for some continuity going forward. ????
Regards,

Clive
