992 sports exhaust operation?

My sports exhaust does not operate from the car being cold, it takes 2-3 minutes for the car to warm up and then the sports exhaust kicks in. Porsche Tewkesbury seem unable to answer as to whether this is what is supposed to happen, i.e. does the sports exhaust only operate when the engine has warmed up?
Can any 992 owners confirm what their experience is with their cars?

Mine is just the same.

Apparently you have to wait until the PCM is fully operational before you can switch the sports exhaust on.

E.g. if you have the PCM set to Home Screen and once all the boxes finish loading you should be able to launch the PSE.
