Hi guys! Can anyone advise on a good alloy refurb place in the South Wales, Bristol or Wiltshire area? I'm looking to get the alloys my 993 C2S refurbed in a couple of weeks before I change the tyres. Any reccomendations would be great!!

Any tips or reccomendations on getting 993 Turbo alloys refurbed?

Thanks, Alex

no ideas where you could get this done but...

do peole think you should get alloys refurbed, ( or touched up in my case ), before or after having a tyre changed ?

I'm thinking after ?

To get a wheel refurbished properly - i.e. trueness checked etc. etc - the tyre has to come off. A cosmetic "touch-up" can be done with the tyre in place but the two processes are nothing like the same. Most "SMART" repairers will do a touch-up for around £40 a wheel but a proper refurbish is probably nearer double that - and will take a few days.

Pristine Wheels in Milton Keynes are well thought of, as are Lepsons in Kent and Diamond Styling in London but they all do the full job. I know Pristine offer a collection service via their agents but it does mean the car being without wheels for a few days.

Regards

Dave

If the tyres need changing anyway then get new tyres delivered to the refurbisher while they have your wheels. You will save a few quid as there's no point getting the tyre fitting and balancing done twice.

cheers guys :)

really I just need some chipping on the edge sorting out, the rest of the wheel i s fine, but wasnt sure if it was a good idea to have this done before I get a new rear tyre fitted.
