I currently have a 944 Turbo but at some stage would love a 993.
Whilst over in Peterborough on business I popped in to look at this car.
My question is does anyone know this car? Anyone else had a look at it? What do we reckon on price etc.
It is a 95/96 Carrera 2 Varioram.
Has hard back sports seats (very good condition inside).
75,000 miles with FSH
Did have a fight in 1998, but not sure how bad, have not checked HPI
Has a Tech Art Sports exhaust system fitted (sounds lovely)
I think H and R lowered springs not sure on dampers.
I am not too sure if the rear spoiler and front bumper spoiler are original RS items?
Front bumper colour match is not very good, although the guy freely pointed that one out and there is some corrosion/bubbling along the windscreen seal on the drivers bottom edge. I am guessing there will be other areas that need attention.
Anyone know what body kit is is? Or is it aftermarket one?
What other areas are prone etc?
I like the colour ( does anyone know what this colour is called? ) and I think with some remedial work done and those graphics taken off the sides too it would look a reasonable car. Although I wish it had replica RS wheeels too as opposed to the black ones that are on it. He did have other wheels that would fit it, so there where choices. Oh and needs RS side skirts to finish job off properly ( I am guessing they are expensive!!! )
Just thought I would get a feel from people that know these cars as to their thoughts.
Currently up at £19,995
Cheers

That big gap you mentioned worried me too... Keep looking I guess, thanks for comments so farORIGINAL: M030 It has a one piece aftermarket RSCS/GT2 look chin spoiler and an Aerokit 1a rear spoiler. Apart for the badge, I fail to see anything that resembles to the "RS" look. The big gap between the bumper cover and the hood doesn't promise anything good....

Thanks Johnny C. Yes I much prefer the look of the proper RS spoilers, your car looks very nice[]ORIGINAL: Johnny C Definitely not an RS, this is my RS bodykit 993 C2... The body kits are not cheap! Spoiler is much flatter, a bit like the old whaletails (which is why I bought an RS bodykit one), the front scoops are a lot more solid looking (sorry I don't have a photo of the front).
Maybe it's the picture but your front chin spoilers look like the Aerokit ones and not the RS ones. The Aerokit chin spoilers have a lip on the side of the car that runs horizontal while the RS ones have a lip that runs upwards to create downforce.ORIGINAL: Johnny C Definitely not an RS, this is my RS bodykit 993 C2...
