good luck paul

i agree the marble leather sports seats do lighten up the car beautifully(especially with my black exterior)

and your choice of replacement car is also a good choice-linda has had diesel bmw`s for some time-very good ,comfortable and sporty load carrying mileage munchers!!

Thanks Dyllan,
I'm really gutted about having to sell a car that I spent so long looking for, and so much money on!
But there's a baby on the way and all that.
I had a 535d before the porsche, they really are a fantastic car, but no 993!

Oh Paul this is a shame after all the hard work you put in to finding the car.

Oh well needs must I guess. We also have our first baby on the way, but I have to say I haven't for one moment considered selling my Carrera S [:-]

I know Dom, it is a real shame, but I've got plenty of time, so I'll still be enjoying it while it's up for sale.
How are you getting on with yours?
oh, and congratulations, when is the baby due?

Baby due in March [:D]

I'm getting on pretty well with the car and still love the fact I own one. It hasn't been the cheapest car to keep tip top, but that said with next to zero depreciation it's probably less cost overall than most spend out without realising.

Dom,
Mine's due in February, so they will be pretty close!
Seems like a real baby boom going on right now, must sign up for a school soon!

I know what you mean about not being cheap to keep mint, especially doing works like wishbones and power steering racks, but I think and hope that you are right about the depreciation. Seems like there's a few C2S's up for sale at the mo, so maybe not the best timing, especially as Mo's is such a minter, big money tho, but I'm sure it's worth it.

Glad you are keeping well and enjoying your 'S
