I' ve done numerous Track days with P Zero' s on my 964 C2, . Have you found a problem with them, or just difficult to obtain ?
Interesting site for Pirelli Safety campaign www.pirelli.co.uk/dsw

JP,

Not strictly an answer to your question re the C4S, but I run a 993 Carrera (2) on 18' s and have just switched from PZero' s to ContiSport2' s. I had no compliant whatsoever with the Pirelli' s but the Conti' s were available at a good price. First impressions are good but it' s too early to judge properly.

Anyway, I suspect you' ll find a split between people favouring Pirelli' s (PZero Assimetrico N2) and people favouring the Bridgestone' s (S02 N2).

Bridgestone' s seem to be the choice for year round all weather drivers while Pirelli' s are favoured by dry road fair weather folk. Also S02' s are considered noisier than PZero' s by most.

These two tyres have been dukeing it out for the title as best fit for 993 C2/4/S with the old ContiSport and Michelin Pilot Sport being the supporting cast.
Now that the Porsche have approved the new Continental (SportContact2 N2) and Pirelli (PZero Rosso N4) let battle recommence.

For people running 17" wheels, it' s a whole differant ball (rubber) game.

Whatever you do, don' t mix brands or even " N" numbers from the same manufacturer or you' ll start a riot!

Used to use S02' s, can' t get them any more so just had PZero Rosso' s fitted. First impressions-very good, BTW Rosso' s to fit 993 turbo S- £704 all in! (see what you think of tyres at Bruntingthorpe!)

For what it is worth, my previous car was a 993 C2, I changed the tyres last year from SO2' s to Conti 2' s, I felt that the car felt more stable on the Conti' s with less tram-lining. On the track, with my limited capabilities, they felt just as good as the SO2' s, and in the wet they were also good. As an all round tyre based upon price & performance, I would go with the Conti 2' s.

Thank you for your response!... the query is actually on behalf of a colleague..

I have S02s on my C2, and i think they are great...

Thanks again!
