993 electric window switch

.......anyone know if a dodgy electric window switch on a 993 is easy to replace / fix.

Mine seems like the spring has gone and it's not making the right contact to start the winding motor. Thankfully last position was closed - but it's a pain not being able to open it (driver's side!)

From what I can remember, get a flat screw driver and pop the switch from the panel, the wiring will unplug from the switch once out, you could swap the passenger switch to establish that it is the switch at fault and not a relay.

I've just had to replace one of mine due to the pivot point broke. They are very easy to change. Just pull out, unplug and replace. 5 min Job.
I just bought a set of 3 used ones. All in good condition too. OEM switches are about £35 new. There are non OEM cheaper out there. If your interested in one of the 2 spares I have drop me a PM

Thanks guys - very helpful - done it!

I must have blown a fuse in the process - but that was pretty easy to replace. Now I know where the fusebox is

- and I was going to ask where to find a new one - Graham - a pm is on it's way to you.

Go from underneath with a screwdriver to lever out the old one and avoid any damage! Oh and use a rag over the 'driver....

All obvious I am sure ;-)
