993 electrical gremlins

I have an electrical problem with my 993 and was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, and if so what's the cure?
It started with all the warning lights coming on, the fuel guage reading empty, the mileometer not working, the speedo (needle and computer) not working and no heat!
When I stopped and restarted the car the warning lights had gone out but the other problems still remained. When later restarting the car the heat started to work, the spoiler light didn't come on (this might have been the case when I prevously restarted the car but I hadn't noticed), but the other problems remained. When I filled up the fuel guage read full (the tank was filled when only half empty) but the speedo, mileometer, spoiler light still refuse to work.
Any clues?

Are you aware of the wiring loom recall on the 993 by Porsche? Has your car been updated through this recall - if not I think that's the problem. Call your local OPC have your chassis number handy and ask them to check if your car has been updated.

Thanx, I wasn't aware of recalls but have now checked with Porsche and there are none for my vehicle! Other ideas are welcome.
