993 engined car on Ebay

I've seen THIS car for sale in one or two places (Pistonheads, Ebay before etc) and the price has dropped to what now seems quite good.

Does anyone know the car or has anyone been to see it? I suppose the main question would be how good a job has been done in fitting the engine. I know there are several issues involving the wiring loom and exhaust systems on these conversions. It sounds like he's done the latter properly anyway!

Any comments, opinions?

I exchanged some emails with him when it was on PH a couple of months ago. Ultimately I didn't pursue it through a combination of LHD and not being sure what the 993 conversion would do to its future value. I didn't hear anything that spooked me about the car technically, but I didn't delve very deep.

Seems reasonably priced to me, assuming there are no suprises. Who are summit prep? Don't go a bundle on the max power exhaust outlets but each to his own.

Does it come with the free road????

Summit Preparation -all I can find is a reference to a car they prepped for the 2005 Open Series.

I had a look at Summit preparation too Melv and all I came up with was a firm that do MG's in Slough. Give him a call Doug and see what he is all about mate.

P.s Your not going to put a ducktail on this one too are you ? [:)]

Just had a chat with the guy & he's sending me a few more pics. The car's done about 3-4k since the installation so the engine has only clocked up 55k. The only thing is the car's got no history prior to the current owner buying it 3 years ago.

It has a finger nail sized bubble of rust at the bottom of the windscreen & a small crack in the rear bumper. The lack of history could be te stumbling block though []
