Hi All

I am probably just about to preach to The Converted but here goes..

31/01/04 Purchase 993 Carrera 2 S for £39,000 from Camtune.

Enjoy truly beautiful car for just shy of 4 years and 6.5 k miles.

As you have seen in my other thread it has become necessary to sell.

Place on Pistonheads 4 days ago ..

Sold to second viewer for £38,995[8D]

So if you are reading this and are vasillating and procrastinating about that 993 purchase... JUST BUY[:)]

Now all I have to do now is convince Maurice to organise a whip round for that missing Fiver...

Cheers

POG

ps I'll be back, just don't let her indoors know yet

Very good[:)]
Those stunning pics must have helped

Maurice - great idea the FAQ on values (esp starting with this one). Suggestion - the mileage is missing from PG's account (26,605 miles from his PistonHeads post) - can we store this in the FAQ too.

We would all like zero depreciation or even appreciation in values of our cars, but only 6.5k miles in four years, is that really "enjoying" a 993.

Well done, I doubt it will ever happen with a 996/997!

lol dparslow, As I like to say to my better half its quality not quantity etc..

most definitely I enjoyed every one of those miles.. even the M6 in the wet [;)]. The new owner picked the car up this evening,so in the spirit of the Beau story I said I would buy it back if he chose to sell in a few years.

BTW, on a side note I saw a C2S today with only 6k miles total! By my somewhat iffy maths thats an average speed of 0.06 mph over 10 years. The guy seemed quite happy though [:)]

Cheers

Actually... given the car was purchased trade and sold private this would suggest its actually gone up +3k in past 4 years.
