Does anyone know this car? And how much will it realise at auction?

[FONT=verdana,geneva"]Sounds/ looks like a cracker! The guide price looks very reasonable? Will be interesting to see what it goes for.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

I thought it looked more like a 993 turbo body (e.g. widebody). It's obviously missing the GT2 arch extensions as well, but I'm sure it's not trying to look exactly like a GT2. Just 'evocative' as the auction lot title suggests.

Does anyone know which 993 model the chassis number and engine number relates to?
It's a 993 built in year 'R' (1994).
I assume it might be the original Carrera body with wider rear arches grafted on?

chassis/no: WPOZZZ99ZRS311988 eng/no: 63R02048

Be carefull as in my search for a new car most 993 cars I saw that had later fitted body kits and mainly bumpers were previously damaged ( even if not recorded) . Same goes with some of the 996 I saw. Just an observation, but it looks like it happens to Porsches more than other makes. I had a ex motor trader / painter look at every car I viewed with me.

I like it - it doesn't look like a GT2, but I still like it.

It's been to Colins so maybe he could shed some light on it?

Have emailed Colin already to find out a bit more about the car, and I know Paul at 9meister is able to spot a painted panel at a 100 paces so should know about any history.
