993 Headlights Help!

I'm looking for help. I have recently installed a HID lighting upgrade into my 1994 - 993 model successfully. However I have noticed that inside the drivers side wing where the lighting socket is mounted that the head light unit plugs into, runs a white rubber tube along side the cabling for this socket. I have accidently unplugged this tube from something but no idea what. I have looked and felt around all over and can not find anything this would attatch to. Please can any one advise what this is for and where it should be attached?

Thanks for that Maurece, to my rescue again! [:)] what you dont know about 993's is not worth knowing. What you say makes sence, when I clamped home the head light it must of entered at an angle which applied pressure against the fixed plug attached to the bracket snapping it from the mounting. I've manually connected the plug and socket until I can arrange for a new socket to attach to the wiring harness which I can again attach to the car body. Then I should hopefully be able to re-attach the tube. As usual you start one job that leads to another and another and another!!
Thanks again Maurice.

I was just thinking that as I read Maurice's reply - you just know he knew the problem off the top of his head!

Maurice you should write a book, I'm serious! [:)]

Maurice, sounds as though you didn't much like what you heard! A galah is a particularly stupid Oz bird (feathered variety). Calling someone a "ruddy galah" down under will probably get you bottled.
To think I was vaguely interested in auditioning for rhythm guitar.
