Hi can anyone help!
My battery went flat last week (first cold snap). I removed the battery and charged it up no problems. The fully charged battery was returned to the car, but it doesn't start, it turns over fine but doesn't fire all the other electric work fine. There is a repeated clicking from underneath the drivers seat coming from the immobiliser unit does this mean its packed up or can it be reset or repaired.

Thanks
Darrin

I don't know the answer, other than to say I did same as you this time last year and I did not have this problem - ie immobiliser did not need to be reset.

I'm not too sure what kind it is. But i managed to start the car by locking and unlocking the the drivers door with the key. Everything works as it should except for the remotes for the alarm. I think they need to be re programed now. Took the car out for a run and got a stone chip which cracked the screen so I'm now looking for a new top tint screen. Altogether not a great weekend.

Thanks for everyones help

Did you manage to re-program the key fobs as yet? Or did you have to get the imobiliser out & send away...Persume you sorted the windscreen now then.Always something.....

That's a no, no and a no. I think the unit is fine and i haven't managed to reprogram the remotes as yet (any ideas how to) everything on the net doesn't work. If i have no luck this weekend i'll try Hamilton & palmer who supplied the immobiliser for porsche. And the windscreen should get changed tomorrow as they delivered a 996 one today, second time lucky!

I found the immobliser under the drivers seat, posted mine away today to Hamilton & Palmer with the fobbs to get sorted out. Sounds like yours has had it as well. I think if you take the pcb out of the unit there are 2 dipswitch's or something that checks all the contacts in the door.

I think your in the same boat as well by the sounds of it, all the best.
