993 in 'Sexy Beast'

Anyone watch the film Sexy Beast with Ray Winstone etc. over the holiday? It's quite a good british 'gangster type' movie. Anyway.... towards the end, the Mr Big (Ian McShane) is taking RW back to the airport in his silver 3.2 carrera, but on the way, they stop to see an accomplice. When they continue on, and when RW is dropped off at the airport, it has changed into a 993..... trivial I know, and only a Porsche anorak would spot that I suppose!

Happy New year to you all

Has anyone seen No Mans Land, its Point Break with Porsche's really. It was made in 1987 so its a little dated now, but its just one huge advert for Porsche. Its not bad. You can get it on DVD.

No Mans Land is a great movie, some great Porsche one liners.
Also watched 007 Die Another Day, there is a scene early on, in the compound where a silver 993 gets blown up. Split second but enough for me to shout 993 during explosion.

Glad to see there is other sad owners with long suffering partners only a posting away.
I hope to see two friends next week that do all the car prep for later 007 stunts, they may be able to remember what this was, originally. Generally they are just shells or mock ups at the point of the stunt. Although they do start off by ripping perfectly good cars apart. Will let you know if it is a replica of your fine looking 993 T.

This website is great for all the car+movie geeks...

Careful though, it could waste hours of your life.
