993 Insuarance - Agreed Valuation

Just thought I would post what I thought was a good deal.

The renewal for my 993 S came through this week and no surprise the premium had increased.

Rang around various companies trying to get Agreed valuation. I found it hard to find anyone who wanted to do AV on a 1997 car.

In the end called Classicline they came up Trumps.

All sorts of benefits including UK breakdown.

Cost £289. Deal or no Deal?

Does seem cheap. What mileage limit do you have?

I'm paying £460 for my 993 cab with 5k mileage allowance and agreed value via Manning uk

Graeme

3K with the option to increase

Paid £270 with an agreed valuation with Adrian Flux, 3000 miles PA.

I was with Classic line but they had crept up to £440, I guess they all do the same and take existing customers as easy money.

It always stuns me as a (ex) businessman that they spend so much money on advertising and so little on retaining loyal customers.

John - I'm with Classic Line (agreed value) too, they're very good. Mine's based on up to 10,000 mile and is £400-odd[;)].
The main contact there is an ex 993 owner as well, so he appreciates the ins and outs. Used to be with Adrian Flux, but they came back last year with a ridiculous hike to the previous premium (as usual[8|])

I am also with Classic Line and have been for 3 years, after getting fed up with the infelxibility and couldn't care attitude of Footman James, with who I was with for 10 years and never made a claim !!

Complete comparison to Classic Line. The agreed value easy to do and the staff are very helpful. I also have a 3.2 Cab on the same policy and a buisness mileage allowance as well for the occasions I take the car to the office. You can tailor the policy to exactly what you want.

I just don't understand Lancaster's Agreed valuation Policy on who they will/will not insure[&:]

I have my 356 with them, have done for years - good value etc.

Last year they told me I would be able to insure my 993 with them - Tried to get a quote this year and they told me they could not quote.

Why? - because the car was not 25 years old! And then I read all this!

Confused[&:] - so am I and not particularly pleased since I bigged them up, invited them to our club night a couple of years ago to explain services offered. All sounded great from the Lancaster's Director on Club night then a phone call says NO!

Come on Lancaster's get your act together! [:-]

As I have posted before, my Cab has been insured with Lancaster for 2 years with an agreed value. It is a 1997 car so certainly nowhere near 25 years old.

I`ve had the 993tt insured with Mannings for the last 7 years, agreed value, Porsche trackday cover, 3k per annum limit, last time it was £370 ish and always a good service.
