Hi
Following an earlier post, I've just had the MAF sensor replaced on my C4 993 and that has cleared the MAF fault code that I was getting. However it hasn't cleared the knock sensor fault code that was also appearing "" the hope was that this was a "˜rogue' error being triggered by the faulty MAF sensor. It's the offside sensor and the code is showing 'no reading' ie it can't see it.
In browsing the internet searching for costs / availability of the knock sensor I came across this comment to someone asking where the sensors were located
"It's right on top of the cylinder head. The workshop manual suggests reseating the connector to eliminate contact resistance before replacing the sensor."
Changing the offside knock sensor involves removing the alternator & fan assembly so that's why they recommend checking the connections first. But does anybody know where the connector is located?
Kind regards
Anton
